Where Have I Been?

I just noticed that I haven't made an entry here since March 8, 2011.  Has time really gone by that quick?  When I started this blog back in 2008, I really had every intention to keep up with blog entries, ideas, etc.  Obviously, that didn't happen.  But, I really want to be more mindful and present on this blog.  I have a passion for giving parents advice on things that I have been through with my son and I think any type of input a parent can get is tremendous! :-)

So, here's to more entries!!

Spot Remover Review - Entry # 3

So, I have done several of my almost 3 year old son's shirts and some of mine.  Here are pics of some before and afters.  My son helped point to a few of the stains because he LOVES the camera!!

These are the ones with the biggest "THANK GOODNESS I GOT THIS STAIN REMOVED!!"

Grey Shirt with oil/butter(?) stains; already washed...

Here's my son's WHITE oxford shirt with a candy cane all the way from Christmas--the before pic doesn't show the stain in it's glory.  The front of each side of the collar was pretty darn red from the candy canes...  It was washed twice (with a different stain remover each time).  Nothing worked, except Grandma's Secret Spot Remover!!

More coming soon!! :-)

More about Grandma's Secret Spot Remover - Product Review

Grandma's Secret Spot Remover is absolutely easy and quick to use...  However, because of the cost I have researched for the on the 2oz bottle that I was given to review, this really can't be used on large stains, etc.  So far, I haven't noticed any problems with color fading or "bleaching" of the areas I have treated.  Lastly, it's environmentally safe, biodegradable, non-toxic, and does not contain chlorine or phosphates (per the Grandma's Secret Spot Remover website).

I am posting pictures, with another review...  I just wanted to answer some quick questions.

Grandma's Secret Spot Remover Product Test

OK.  So I haven't written in a WAY LONG TIME!!  I really wanted to start my blog back up again, and this was a great reason to do so.  I am testing out this spot remover for a moms website in the Sacramento, CA, area (Sacramento Moms Like Me).  I will be doing a few entries, so keep your eyes open...

First, here's a picture of the product:

Anyway, I have tried the spot remover out on most of the clothes I needed stains removed from.  I will be posting about those later...  However, it just so happened that the other night, our yellow lab found some tar-like substance (maybe grease, maybe oil) out in the back yard.  He tracked it straight in through the house (wood floors) and right into our bedroom (Berber carpet)!  The floors wiped up easy.  However, my husband and I were terrified that the stains wouldn’t come off the carpet.  Then, I remembered I had just gotten Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover.   We squeezed the gel substance on to each of the 5 spots and waited them to soak a little into the carpet.  Then, I took a towel and scrubbed the stains.  Yes, they came out!  I was shocked.  We normally use another carpet stain remover.  But, we luckily had the new product in our presence!!  So, I give it a thumbs up—for this stain…

My next entry will include how the remover did on clothing stains.  It definitely has been an interesting “experiment”!!

Goodness, 2 years and NO Entries...

Well, I decided to revamp my blog!  Since it has been 2 years since I have entered anything, I thought I'd start fresh!!  My son is 2 YEARS OLD now!!  Wow, how time flies...

I am going to go back in to the annals of my spider-webbed memory, and enter TONS of information for new parents, first time parents, etc.!  Also, I will be giving a lot of resources for those women, men, families suffering through Postpartum (Perinatal) Depression, as I suffered from it terribly after my son's birth in May 2008.  It is my passion to help these women and their families!!

So, here's to lots of future entries!  I hope to get out as much information as I can to make up for lost time!!
